Mouse Jiggler does not collect, process, transmit, or store personal data.
App preferences such as cursor movement settings, scheduling options, and interaction preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults framework.
3. Focus & Attention Support
Mouse Jiggler is designed to support focus and attention, including for users with ADHD. Subtle cursor movement provides visual cues intended to help users stay engaged with their work.
4. Data Sharing
No personal information is shared with third parties because the app does not collect or transmit personal data.
5. Data Security
All app settings and preferences remain stored locally on your device. Mouse Jiggler does not use external servers for storing user information.
6. User Rights
- Delete Your Data: You can change preferences within the app. Removing the app may leave saved preferences on your Mac; contact support for help removing them.
- Modify Preferences: You can change app settings and preferences at any time within the app.
7. Cookies and Tracking
Mouse Jiggler does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, analytics SDKs, or tracking technologies.
8. Push Notifications
Mouse Jiggler does not send push notifications or use notification tracking services.
9. Third-party Links
The app may include links to the official website or Apple services for support and purchases, but does not embed third-party tracking systems.
10. macOS Permissions
Mouse Jiggler requires macOS permissions to provide cursor movement and optional click actions as part of its focus-support functionality.
These permissions are used strictly for app functionality and are never used for monitoring, recording, tracking, or collecting personal information.
To prevent unwanted cursor movement while the user is actively interacting with the device, Mouse Jiggler may detect:
- Mouse movement activity
- Scroll events and trackpad gestures
- Keyboard activity (without recording keystrokes)
- Trackpad gestures such as swipe or pinch
- System state events including sleep/wake status
No Keystroke Recording: Mouse Jiggler does not log, record, store, or transmit typed text, passwords, or specific keystrokes. Keyboard activity is used only to detect active interaction.
macOS permissions can be enabled or disabled at any time in macOS:
- Open System Settings > Privacy & Security, then find the app’s pointer-control permission
- Locate "Mouse Jiggler" and enable or disable access
If macOS permissions are disabled, some features such as automated cursor movement and optional click actions may not function properly.
11. Children's Privacy
Mouse Jiggler does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age.
12. App Store Compliance
- GDPR: No personal data is processed or transferred outside the device.
- CCPA: Personal information is not sold or shared.
- COPPA: The app is not directed toward children under 13.
